Estonia will play host to its first major blockchain conference next year, as developers, blockchain experts, and entrepreneurs will come together in the capital city of Tallinn on March 9, 2016. Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Tallinn will focus on blockchain solutions for government, and commercial applications for industries ranging from banking, healthcare, and trading to logistics and notary services.
Scheduled speakers include Bitcoin Foundation founding director Jon Matonis, a Forbes contributor who covers cryptocurrency and other FinTech topics. He’ll reportedly offer comments on a wide range of topics that include blockchain consortiums, the benefits of open blockchain, and other issues that he’s covered in his columns for Forbes and other media outlets. There will also be speakers from both private industry and the public sector.
Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference is a series of events that have been scheduled for Estonia, Czech Republic, Russia, and the Ukraine. The most recent conference was held in Moscow in November, and brought together representatives from major tech firms like Microsoft, banking interests, and officials from the Russian government. The Estonian conference will help to highlight that nation’s efforts to become a FinTech leader through IT infrastructure development and an emphasis on encouraging blockchain and other technological development.
