Coinbase Pro Adds Support for Stellar Lumens (XLM)

Coinbase has added support for Stellar Lumens (XLM) on Coinbase Pro, as it continues its previously announced plans to support more digital assets on its platforms. Coinbase Pro customers can now trade XLM in all of the company’s supported jurisdictions except the state of New York.

Trading will be available in three trading pairs: XLM/BTC, XLM/EUR, and XLM/USD. Coinbase launched its support using a four-stage approach similar to that used in its recent listing for XRP. It began with a transfer-only stage that started at 1 PM PT yesterday. After that 12-hour stage, the rest of the launch included a brief post-only stage, followed by a brief limit-only period prior to the final stage of full trading.

In a blog post, Coinbase noted that XLM support may become available in additional jurisdictions in the future. It also reconfirmed its commitment to supporting even more digital assets on its platform:

One of the most common requests we receive from customers is to be able to trade more assets on our platform. Per the terms of our listing process, we anticipate supporting more assets that meet our standards over time.
