Fidelity Investments has announced that it will be introducing Fidelity Digital Assets, Ltd to provide digital asset services for European institutional investors. In a press release today, the company confirmed that it will provide European hedge funds, market intermediaries, family offices, and other investors access to “enterprise-quality custody and trade execution services for digital assets.”

Fidelity Digital Assets president Tom Jessop said:

“Since launching Fidelity Digital Assets in the U.S. over a year ago, we’ve seen significant interest and engagement by the institutional community, which show no signs of slowing. We’re also encouraged by continued corporate and venture investment in market infrastructure companies as well as the entry of traditional exchanges into the digital assets ecosystem.

These and other market indicators, alongside interest expressed from U.K. and European client prospects, indicate a market with increasing potential which gives us the confidence to expand the digital assets business geographically.”

According to the announcement, Fidelity Digital Assets, Ltd. will offer institutions services like digital asset trade execution, institutional-grade custody for those assets, and its own dedicated client service to provide support for new institutional investors who are new to digital assets.
